🏆Unstaking EOS & Claiming Rewards

After staking you're tokens in the EOS Staking Portal, you'll start collecting rewards. You can unstake your tokens and collect those rewards after a 21 day unstaking period. This guide will walk you through the steps you need to take to complete this process.

1. Unstake Tokens

First, connect your wallet to log into the staking portal at stake.eosnetwork.com. This is similar to the process for logging in from Step 1 of our Staking EOS Guide.

Once you're connected, navigate to the "Unstake" menu, enter an amount of EOS that you'd like to unstake and select "Unstake". This will kick off the 21 day unstaking period that must pass before you can claim your tokens. During this period, rewards will continue to be accumulated.

2. Claim Rewards

You will be able to claim accumulated rewards after the 21 day unstaking period has passed. To do so, connect your wallet again to the staking portal and navigate to the "Claim" menu. From there you can monitor the status of your unstaking balances in the table on the bottom of the "Claim" section.

When you have a balance of rewards ready to claim, all you need to do is click the "Claim Rewards" button and sign the transaction by following the on screen prompts. All available EOS tokens will then be sent to your account.

Final Thoughts

You're now a staking master! By following the steps in this guide you should have been able to successfully create an account on the EOS network, populate that account with EOS, stake your EOS to begin earning rewards and unstake the EOS to claim your rewards.
