⛏️Staking EOS

Once you have an EOS account set up and have sent EOS tokens to it, you are now able to stake your EOS tokens to begin earning a yield. The following guide will walk you through the steps you need to take in order to stake your tokens in the new Staking Portal.

1. Navigate to Staking Portal and Connect Wallet

The first step is to head to the staking portal at stake.eosnetwork.com

Once there, select the "Connect Wallet" option in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

You'll then be prompted with several wallets to sign in with. Select your the wallet that you've set up your account with. You'll then be prompted to log into your wallet and can follow the onscreen prompts to sign in.

2. Enter an Amount of EOS and Start Staking

After signing in, you'll be able to enter an amount of EOS that you'd like to stake and select "Stake". Then follow the prompts onscreen to sign the transaction with you're wallet. It's important to note that anything staked will remain staked for at least 21 days. After the transaction is successfully signed your EOS will be staked and will automatically begin collecting rewards.

Final Thoughts

Don't forget that there is a 21 day minimum unstaking period on all staked tokens. This means that when you'd like to claim your tokens, you'll have to wait 21 days for all tokens to be unstaked before you can collect them.
