Keep reading for a step-by-step walkthrough on how to get up and running on the EOS Network with TokenPocket for mobile.
This method will enable you to create an account by purchasing some EOS on an exchange and sending it to your new account to cover the costs. This method is slightly more secure and straightforward then the second menthod. However, there is a small cost to setting up the account. If you want to set up an account for free, check out the second method.
To get started with TokenPocket, first head to https://www.tokenpocket.pro/en/download/app
Then, download the appropriate version or your device and install it.
Open the TokenPocket app, then tap on the first icon in the top right corner labeled "Add Wallet", then search for "EOS" from the list. Then select the EOS Network when you see it in the list.
After clicking on the EOS Network, you'll be prompted with several options. From this list, choose "Create Wallet". Then, select the "Smart Contract - Transfer Creation" method.
The transfer creation method is a contract-based approach to create an EOS account. It only requires transferring funds from an exchange or EOS wallet to create the EOS account. There are three essential elements to consider:
First, transfer the amount of EOS recommended on screen. The screen shot below shows a recommendation of "4 EOS" but this number may be different for you.
Second, ensure the accuracy of the recipient account.
Third, the transfer memo must be correctly filled out.
After selecting the Smart Contract - Transfer Creation method in the last step, you'll be presented with a screen that suggests the amount of EOS needed to be transffered, as well as the address to send it to and memo to attach.
In order to complete the process, purchase enough EOS on your preferred exchange and withdraw it, while ensuring that all the infomration entered, matches the information presented on the TokenPocket app. Once the withdrawl is complete, select the "Activate account" button in the TokenPocket app.
Upon seeing the prompt "Wallet Creation Successful," the know that the account creation is complete and you can begin using your account to engage with dApps (decentralized applications) on EOS.
This next method is slightly more involved, and it requires you to have an account on Telegram. However, the account creation is free and you aren't required to purchase EOS on an exchange to cover the cost.
Keep in mind that this method is also less secure as it relies on an additional third-party service to generate the account. For a more secure method, use the First Method or check out the guide on creating an account with Anchor.
If you're short on time you can check out the walkthrough video walkthrough here.
To get started with TokenPocket, first head to https://www.tokenpocket.pro/en/download/app
Then, download the appropriate version or your device and install it.

Navigate to the following link: https://eoshelper.pages.dev/
After opening the link, click on "EOS Helper" in the interface. You then will be automatically prompted to open the EOS Helper bot via Telegram.
When you are in Telegram in EOS Helper bot chat, select the appropriate language. Then, type "/free_account" into the chat and send the message to the bot.
The next prompt will present you with a button titled "Generate Keypair". Click that button to continue to the next step.
On the opened page, the key starting with "EOS" is the Public Key, and the one starting with "5" is the Private Key. Store both of these in a secure, offline place where you won't lose them. Be sure to keep you private key entirely private and don't let anyone else see it. The public key can be shared with others but the private key must be kept a secret in order to ensure account securutiy.
Note: Failure to backup your keys will result in an inability to recover your account and loss of funds.
If you would like to try again with a new key pair, you can click "Regenerate". Once you are happy with your keypair and it is backed up safely, select "Use this key pair" to proceed to the next step. In the pop-up interface, you will be prompted to confirm that you'd like this key pair, and the public key will be automatically copied to the clipboard. If you are sure, click on "Confirm".
Next, return to the main interface of EOS Helper and paste the copied public key into the dialog window and send it. A confirmation message will appear again, asking if you have securely backed up the private key. After confirming, click on "Create Account" to create the account. When you see the creation success message, it means that you have successfully completed the creation of the EOS account.
Open the TokenPocket app, click on the icon in the top right corner to add a wallet. In the search bar of the interface, type "EOS" and click on "EOS Mainnet". Then, select the "Import Wallet" option.
From here, you'll be presented with a the option to choose an import method. Select "Private Key", and and copy the private key that you generated with the EOS Helper and saved in Step 4.
Once you enter your private key and continue to the next screen, your account will be set up in TokenPocket and ready to use. You can now begin using your account to engage with dApps (decentralized applications) on EOS.
If using the second method to create your account, its extremely important that you back up your private key in Step 4. Without this you won't be able to recover your account if needed and could lose all of your funds. Its also important that you never share your private key with anyone else or they can also gain access to your accounts and the funds within it.
Finally, you can use the EOS Helper tool to generate a free account that can be imported into any EOS Native-compatible wallet, such as Anchor. So if you prefer to use another wallet, you can still leverage EOS Helper to create an account for free.
